Mr. Gundlach is the Chief Executive Officer and Chief Investment Officer of DoubleLine. He was formerly associated with TCW where he was Chief Investment Officer and head of fixed income activities. He is recognized as a leading expert1 in mortgage-backed securities and investment asset allocation. His investment strategies have been featured in leading publications including The New York Times, The Financial Times, The Wall Street Journal, USA Today, Barron’s, Forbes, Fortune, Pensions & Investments and Institutional Investor. In 2010, Mr. Gundlach was named to the SmartMoney Power 30 , one of the seventeen most influential people by The Mutual Fund Wire and “Fund Leader of the Year” by Fund Action. In 2011, he was featured as “The King of Bonds” in Barron’s, named one of “5 Mutual Fund All-Stars” by Fortune Magazine and named “Bond Manager of the Year” by Foundations and Endowments Money Management. He is a graduate of Dartmouth College summa cum laude holding a BA in Mathematics and Philosophy. He attended Yale University as a PhD candidate in Mathematics.

Mr. Garza joined DoubleLine in 2009. Prior to DoubleLine, Mr. Garza was a Senior Vice President at TCW since 2000 where he held several positions over the years ending with his promotion to Senior Vice President in 2005. Prior to TCW, Mr. Garza worked at Union Bank of California in the Commercial Banking Group where he was involved with corporate loan underwriting. Mr. Garza holds a BA in Business Economics from the University of California, Santa Barbara and an MBA from the Anderson School of Management at the University of California, Los Angeles.
Mr. Sherman joined DoubleLine in 2009 as a Fixed Income Generalist and member of the Fixed Income Asset Allocation Committee. He is currently a portfolio manager for commodity-based strategies at DoubleLine. Additionally, Mr. Sherman teaches quantitative methods in the USC/CFALA review course for Level I CFA candidates. Prior to DoubleLine, he was a Senior Vice President at TCW for the previous nine years where he worked as a Quantitative Analyst focusing on fixed income and commodities analytics. Mr. Sherman was also a portfolio manager overseeing several commodity funds. Prior to TCW, he was a statistics and mathematics instructor at both the University of the Pacific and Florida State University. Mr. Sherman holds a BS in Applied Mathematics from the University of the Pacific and a MS in Financial Engineering from the Claremont Graduate University. He is a CFA charterholder.
Ms. Baha is the Senior Portfolio Manager of DoubleLine’s Global Developed Credit Group, which is included as a separate sector in the various DoubleLine Core Fixed Income strategies. Prior to DoubleLine, Ms. Baha was a Managing Director and Portfolio Manager overseeing the Corporate Bond group at TCW for the past nineteen years. Prior to TCW, she worked for Deloitte & Touche, where she was a manager and specialized in the valuation of publicly traded and privately held companies in a variety of industries. Prior to that, she was employed as a Senior Analyst with Standard Research Consultants, a former division of Standard & Poor's Corporation. Prior to her graduate studies, she worked at Kidder, Peabody & Co. where she was responsible for the regional distribution of new issues and secondary offerings of corporate debt and equity securities. Ms. Baha received her BA in Political Science from the University of California at Irvine and her MBA from the University of Southern California. She is a CFA charterholder and a Chartered Investment Counselor.
Ms. Padilla joined DoubleLine in 2009. She is Senior Portfolio Manager of the Emerging Markets Fixed Income strategy. Prior to DoubleLine, she was a Managing Director at TCW since 1994, where she had served in a number of roles of increasing responsibility with the group, including Credit Analyst, Director of Research, Co-Portfolio Manager since December 2001, and lead Portfolio Manager since October 2006. She was involved in all aspects of building and managing TCW’s Emerging Markets Fixed Income business including credit, securitization, trading and marketing. While at TCW, Ms. Padilla managed the Emerging Markets Total Return Strategy. Ms. Padilla attended University of California at Berkeley as a fellow of the Robert A. Toigo Foundation and graduated with an MBA in 1994. Ms. Padilla received her Bachelor’s of Art degree in Economics in 1989 from Stanford University in Palo Alto, California.
